Sell downloadable mp3s with our free componet for Joomla. Joomla is a very popular open source content management system and drives many website on the web. There is no need to learn how to write code and you can get your website up and running in less than a week. Why pay Itunes and other third party distributors when you can keep all of your profit using Paypal. You can also implement micro-payments if you expect most of your sales to be below $10. Paypal charges $.05 + 5%, so for a .99 cent download you keep .90. So why not give Maian Music a chance, you will be glad you did.
I would like to once again thank all of those who have gave this integration a fair chance. Given that I'm the designer, developer and tester of Maian Music for Joomla there are bound to be some things that slip through the cracks. I know that for people who are using Mac the upload function does not work at all. It's hard to test for something when you don't have a mac :( I do have someone helping me out on this and I'm going to totally revamp the upload process. I'm also working on a way to update without having to uninstall. So the next update that comes out will have the function to grab the files from aretimes and update selected files. This is for people who have made customization to certain files you will be able to exclude them from being updated and only worry about code files. I think this will most likely be the last time anyone will have to update...Crossing my fingers.
I am also working on a pro version that will have a new interface and the possibility to not have previews but to play your music with a water mark. Hopefully I will have this done by the time summer rolls around. I am also going to revamp my website so that it will be easy for users to show off there maian music websites. Given my other commitments it's hard to squeeze in time to do these enhancements. For the most part now I'm only answering the forum on the weekends. My blackberry broke and i had to get another one but the browser sucks big time!!! I can go to the forum as quick as before to answer user issues. So if I haven't gotten to your question be patient I will answer to the best of my ability.
I also decided to record another song that it available right now "I'm A Be Me" was recorded at Listen Vision Studio's in D.C. I took a step back from writing because ofall the tings going on in my life right now. It felt pretty good getting back in the booth. I hope everyone enjoys it!! Until next time
I want to thank to everyone who has donated and taken the time to log bugs on the support site. Testing is a huge part of software development and I do admit that I could not put in as much time as I wanted to. This project is only a year old and has already seen seen two different iterations. I have idea's to expand the functionality of not only aretimes but the music store it's self but it seems there are not enough hours in the day. I feel that maian music is stable enough for me to start working on the community builder intergration and an advanced version of the music store that will allow for more control over the look and feel of the music store. I see another great year ahead for this project and for more collaboration with David from MaianScriptWorld.co.uk. In the short term I am going to create a search plug-in that will add music store results into the Joomla core search and a new module so you can place the navigation, cart and search bar anywhere on your site. So snatch up the latest version and have fun.
P.S I've created a new search plugin to include albums in search results.
