Complete Description:
The purpose of the Digital Inclusion Program is to leverage the power of technology to connect communities with opportunities. This means ensuring all District residents have meaningful access to computers and high-speed broadband.
The Mobile Tech Lab will be used to bring technology resources to underserved communities by providing computer and Internet access on a converted bookmobile.
Candidate will provide basic IT equipment (e.g., laptops, projector) troubleshooting for the mobile technology lab. A successful candidate must also be proficient in MS Office and able to address common questions/concerns of users, including, but not limited to, the following: 1) job searching, 2) resume writing, 3) web browsing, and 4) accessing online government services and information.
The preferred candidate must be able to communicate problems/issues to customers in a non-technical manner. The preferred candidate must have strong customer service and troubleshooting skills. This candidate must be able to speak clearly and have the ability to relay information to the customer as well as to the team and management.
