that site is actually still using version 1.4.3, so things have come a long way since then;
the way to do it now is to use the 'furious' template; you should be able to download that from the templates section of the forum; A new version of that template will also be released soon which should fully integrate any new features of the latest release of Maian Media; you can post any problems you have with that template in the template forum;
As far as switching between different audio formats, the easiest way to do that is to create a different album for each format, and use links to switch between the formats;
What i'm doing on the next big project is even cooler; we're using a specially designed Zoo app (the amazing CCK from Yootheme), and then incorporating maian media into the page with a component includer; this allows for the ultimate in flexibility, and presentation, while retaining all of the awesome core qualities of Maian; and for multi format stuff, we can include all of the maian album formats on the same page with tabs (using nonumber tabber for example), so there is no page reload when switching between formats;
To make this work, a maian template that shows only the tracks, and add to cart links has been created, by deleting parts of the album display template; I'll be posting the link to that site once it goes live;
