While riding on this water fall we call life.
Chasing my dreams it seems I ain't living to right.
Caught in the stream going with the rising tide.
Hit by the waves now theses dark waters start to rise.

I can't breath I see my vision getting dim.
Could It be just me or are things getting grim.
When learning how to swim it's hard to stay a float.
You got to cope and hope you make it on the boat.

And if you don't some say you get another chance.
Your spirit will advance in this universal dance.
Life is like a trace don't get caught in the spell.
You can't fore tell when you hit the bottom of the well.

Hell I'm just another man trying to make a dollar.
Didn't have a plan so i became a scholar.
Doing what i can but it keeps getting harder,
to be just me in this turbulent sea.

Facing the storm born with my heart on my sleeve.
It's like I carry a scorn it's kind of hard to believe.
But you got to stand tall like a tree that's getting drenched in rain
from a hurricane that's causing nothing but pain.

They say you life might change in the blink of an eye.
If you wish upon a star when you look to the sky.
Time flys by lost and you don't know why.
Were all trying to get a piece of that piece of that pie
But only getting some crumbs

When i was young I used to live in the slums.
Move the the burbs this is where I grew and matured.
A couple tussles occurred with my high school peers.
Referring to slurs I heard that they hated me here.

But I didn't care nobody said this life would be fair.
Becoming aware is worth all the pain and despair.
And every tear that you shed in this stream of life.
Relieves the pain so you won't be here twice.
