So I was searching the web the other day and ran into this http://xforce.iss.net/xforce/xfdb/42209 . I have been putting in a lot of time on the 1.5 integration and to find that my component had a flaw I has taken a back. To make a long story short some idiot out there (You know who are PRICK!!!) made changes to my component and made his site vulnerable to sql injection attacks. What makes it worse is that they removed the license at the bottom of the script and never contacted me or David about removal. Now I would post their website but I don’t want to give there punk asses any more credit than they deserve.
I’m pretty new to open source and joomla in general. Actually around this time last year is when I started getting into it. Before I integrated this script it basically came out of my needs. David had warned me that I will get a bunch of false promises and in the end people want things for free. With that being said I do understand and guess I’m just too much of an idealist. Times are tough and people will try anyway to skim a buck or two.
At any rate David is coming with Maian Music 1.3 and is set to release in June. I’m going to try my best to have the 1.5 integration done around this same time as well. I hope people realize that I have one crazy and busy life right about now yet for the past 4 months I have been putting in a lot of time into this script. I’ve been wondering why the hell I’m doing it in the first place if I have bastards making changes, screwing me and giving the software a bad name.
I do have a vision that I am trying to set bring to light and really I’m not that mad. I just want to rant a bit and to let everyone know that changes are coming soon. Thought I call the script 1.5 as you all will see it is really 1.3 for joomla 1.5. (Confusing I know). So thanks for the people who have stayed true made donation and have been honest. Your belief in the cause will be rewarded. Till next month be well.
